As we get closer to November Peace Action, has shifted our focus. We can't do anything to take back the atrocious policies of the Bush administration; but, we can set the stage for the next president by outlining our demands now. The first step moving forward is our new campaign "No Soldier Left Behind" (NSLB).

UPDATE RNC 8
In the last eAction report we told you the story of our co-worker, Jonathan Williams, who was unlawfully arrested at the Republican National Convention (RNC) protests in St. Paul. We were overwhelmed by your positive response. Your calls to the jail, mayor, and Governor help expedite the release of most of the protesters including Jon. He's back on the road now, on his way to court to defend his right to dissent. Along the way he'll be giving workshops and trainings to youth across the country to keep this kind of dissent active. Sadly, there is still work for us to do as well.

ELECTION COMMENTARY
The War Economy and a Whack-a-Mole Strategy for the Middle East
Tonight, Sarah Palin and Joseph Biden will debate at the University of Washington in St. Louis. This debate will focus on a variety of issues; but, the two most central will be the economic crisis and the situation in the Middle East. While there are major differences in the way that the Democratic and Republican tickets view these issues the tactics for handling them haven't change since Bush first introduced his doctrine.
