The Campaign for a Peace Economy
We're all tightening our belts. All of us, except the Pentagon. The U.S. spends more money on nuclear and cold war weapons systems than most countries do on the entire military budget. That money could be better spent on education, healthcare, and green energy. A Peace Economy focuses our taxes on real security through diplomacy and stable infrastructure rather than foreign bases and unwinnable wars.
If the Pentagon goes on a diet
all of us will eat a little bit better.
