March 19th
- MAKE WAR BAD FOR
BUSINESS
“Americans
will put up with anything provided it doesn't block traffic.”
Dan Rather
On March 19th 2008, the 5th
Anniversary of the Iraq occupation, we did just that. SPAN
and Peace Action activists – along with hundreds of others
– blocked traffic in the busy K-street corridor during rush
hour. Over 300 students from all over the country took ground
at the corner of K, Vermont, and 17th streets for 3 hours in DC;
we sang, danced, and educated the public on war profiteers.
It’s was AMAZING.
Watch our video
and check out pictures

We passed out valuable information about War Profiteers you can
read, here. If you’d
like to join us next time please contact Katherine

Peace Action made international
news on March 19th and we'd like to share our success with you.
