Act
NOW to Stop a Dangerous Nuclear Deal!
President Bush
has signed an unprecedented deal that would transfer
dangerous nuclear technology to India, even though India has not
signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has already
developed nuclear weapons using technologies gained through a
similar deal.
If this deal goes forward, it will require radical changes to
U.S. law and will gravely undermine international nonproliferation
agreements.
NOW is the time to stop this deal! It's
important that Members of Congress hear from concerned constituents
before it's too late. Call today to voice your opposition
to the President's dangerous plan.
Call the Capitol Switchboard today at 202-224-3121.
They will connect your to Senators' and
Representative's offices.
Here's
what you can say:
"I want Rep./Sen. _______________ to oppose the India/U.S.
Nuclear Deal and to support amendments that address nonproliferation
problems with the deal."
Members of
Congress still have opportunities to make this deal less dangerous.
Check out how Senators
and Repesentatives
on key committees marked up the bill in recent meetings. Clearly
more pressure is needed to stop this unsafe deal. Click
here for more ideas and information. And call your Member
of Congress today!
Thanks
for taking action to promote nonproliferation!
